I created this cartoon unfortunately a month or so after the EVER GIVEN Suez Canal saga had passed, so I had no real chance to sell it. But my test audience (i.e. the family) told me they liked it so I created it anyway. Coincidentally the day I shared it I read that the ship had finally been given the go-ahead to continue its journey. It had been held as collateral for the 900 million in fines someone was trying to get from somebody.
The toon popped out of a discussion with my kids about how a ship could get stuck like that. Were they trying to turn around? What would make them want to do that? Here you go.
